This degree was established in 2015. The first patch started in August of the same year and consisted of 35 students ( six of them withdrew for various reasons). It has 13 modules covering wide range of medical education and practice and is semester – based: each semester is 15 weeks long: two semesters for the diploma and the third one( plus presentation of a paper ) for the Master .

The framework of the degree is as follows:

  • Face-to-face lectures
  • Online tutorials
  • Videoconferencing (from within and outside Sudan)
  • Assignments

These activities are spread throughout the whole week.

Assignments should be uploaded by the end of each module

The EDC was fortunate enough to enlist the help and support of the Medical Education Department at Dundee University and that of the Open University London. Moreover, there is mutual recognition of our courses are part of the ESME course conducted by AMEE .
